The official line from Singapore immigration is that individuals do not need to be physically present in order to find job in Singapore. One of the tools that is available to help foreigners find work from overseas is Contact Singapore, which links interested applicants with leading employers. Foreign students who are graduating from selected local IHLs can apply for a one-year Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) from ICA to stay in Singapore after graduation to look for a job. It is permitted for individuals to attend job interviews while holding a social visit pass (see previous section).
The Personalised Employment Pass
The personalized Employment Pass (PEP) is an employment pass that is granted to highly-qualified individuals and is not linked to a specific employer. It is suitable for people who wish to work in Singapore but cannot be granted to those who want to start a business.

Validity | The maximum validity of the PEP is three years. It cannot be renewed. |
Number of entries | You can exit and renter Singapore as many times as you like during the validity of your PEP. |

If you currently don’t hold a Singapore employment pass, it’s likely that MOM authorities will ask for additional details once the personalised employment pass application has been filed. Therefore, as a good practice and in order to preempt delays caused by such procedure, it’s best to attach the following documents when submitting the PEP application:
