Nearly all of Singapore’s major supermarkets offer wine and spirits, which are all largely imported. Aside from Singapore’s prized beer brand, Tiger (which one can get at any grocery store, convenience shop, restaurant, or hawker center), wines and liquors are all imported from elsewhere and command a high price. While chains like Giant and Fairprice often carry limited stock, Carrefour and Cold Storage offer a good range at a relatively competitive price. However, if you are looking for that award-winning vintage, for cost-saving bulk purchases, or for wide selection, the best choice is one of the many specialty wine and liquor shops.
