Every neighborhood will have an assortment of delis from specialized groceries that sell cheeses, meats and other treats. These will either be permanent stores or market stalls (see the section on Open-Air Markets). Spain is famous for its fruit, vegetables and deli goods so finding these items is not difficult at all. The more complicated task can be finding the foods that are missed from home.
The simple things that stave off homesickness can be found in specialty shops that cater specifically to Asian, US and UK expats (and peanut butter can be found in the occasional smaller grocery store, although be prepared to pay for it – €4 to €5 for a 250gr jar).
