I was born and grew up in Canada. I married a US citizen and moved to Texas. When I became a US citizen I had to relinquish my Canadian citizenship. I understand that now dual citizenship is allowed and would like to regain my Canadian citizenship. How would I go about doing that?

I have been told that as long as you have a Canadian birth certificate you are always considered a Canadian citizenship. When my kids were born they were allowed dual. They they took that away. But I also heard that canada just passed another law that if u don’t live in canada for a length of time and u become another citizen it is relinquished. I can’t see it being hard for you to obtain considering you were born there.
