Flea markets for Expat in Amsterdam
Noordemarkt – Lindengracht in the Joordan (Also called the Lindenmarkt). Whatever you can think of, they might just have it. Prices are middle to high. Open Saturday 9-16 and Mondays 9-13. This is just steps away from another one of the city’s favourite street markets (open Mondays from 9-13), which runs the length of the Westerstraat and is known for its fabrics and clothing that are less generic than the typical market fare.
Albert Cuypstraat – Albert Cuypstraat in de Pijp. Food, clothing, electronics, random paraphernalia. Mostly low prices. Open Mon-Sat 9-18.
Waterlooplein – Waterlooplein, close to the city hall and the Amstel river, offers clothing, bicycle related goods and some of the most random curiosities ever assembled in one place. Cold War theme Russian dolls, brass menorahs, 19th century diving weights, and military uniforms from countries that no longer exist – well worth a visit. Open Mon-Sat 9-17.
Ten Kate Markt – Just off of Kinkerstraat. Clothing, food, and electronics. Very low prices. Mon-Sat 9-18.
