The Netherlands is well known for its secularity which led to thousands of registered religions. Amsterdam’s tradition of tolerance means that there are regular, well-established worship services for almost all major religions. Services and meetings for Christians and Buddhists are widely available in English, other faiths may have to dig a little more.
Even if you are not a religious person, Amsterdam has wonderful churches (called Kerks) which can take your breath away. During the summer months, you can visit the West Kerk and climb on its tower – the tallest place of the city.
