Bangkok International Film Festival
This Bangkok film festival has been held annually since 2003 and features competitions, awards, screening of movies and seminars. Numerous Thai films are screened along with international entries in this festival. Film personalities and celebrities from many parts of the globe join the festival. This event holds an important place in modern Bangkok culture. During the festival, a number of international films are shown and twelve are ultimately selected to compete in the prestigious International competition. There are awards for best actor and actress and best director.
The festival also features an ASEAN competition and a short film competition.
Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music

The Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music is a breathtaking display of dance and performances from around the world. Every year, more than 800 artists are flown in to perform their art. The festival is a blend of opera, jazz, ballet, modern dance, pop music and symphony. This festival is hosted annually by the Thailand Cultural Center.
Thai Beer Festival
October-November
When cooler weather arrives in the months of October and November, Thai breweries set up beer gardens and events all around Bangkok for the Thai Beer Festival. The biggest and most visited is in front of Central World near Chitlom BTS.
International Bangkok Motor Show
The latest and hottest cars are showcased in the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Centre in Bang Na, along with equally attractive ‘grid girls’.
Bangkok International Fashion Fair
This fashion event showcases the best of Asian fashion. The fashion fair has been held since the mid-80’s and is attended by many top designers from the region and outside.
Bangkok Jazz Festival
A relatively new festival which has grown quickly in popularity, now attended by more than 30,000 people and many international jazz musicians.

Christmas Festivities
Thais, being overwhelmingly Buddhist, do not celebrate Christmas as such, but throughout December, there are many fairs and events with a Christmas theme. Central World Chitlom hosts a huge Christmas tree and a Christmas market.
