After School Activities Guide for Expats Children
German schools usually run from 8am until 1 or 2pm. Each district has several daycare facilities for after school activities known as a hort that will run from the end of school until 6pm. This provision varies greatly from district-to-district and school-to-school so you will need to ask at the school for more information.
International schools have similar times but run an extensive range of after-school activities until 17:00 or 18:00. You will need to consult the schools to find out more.
Throughout Berlin there is a range of after school activities available for children to participate in such as yoga, dance, drama and sport – however, most of these are provide in German.
