Parents’ Participation Guide
Depending on the school that you choose for your child, there are a range of ways in which you can get involved. These can include:
- In class teacher’s assistance support – literacy, maths etc
- Assistance on excursions
- Involvement in parent’s committees and council meetings
- Support in administrative functions of the school (website development and maintenance, grounds working bees)
- Support in the extra curricular activities of the school (organising of festivals and other fund raising events, support in production of plays and musicals)
Make sure to inquire at your child’s school if you are interested in participating. Most institutions will happily welcome your involvement.
