Public Holidays Guide
Belgium officially has 12 public holidays, with two always on a Sunday. There are other holidays celebrated but employers are not obliged to observe them. Many companies, however, will designate unofficial holidays to give employees an extra day off. Unions play a role in ensuring that some of these unofficial days off are given.
