Bakery Stores in London
Only recently have supermarket chains stocked local artisanal breads alongside regular sliced, pre-packed loafs. Many of the larger chains have onsite baker stores, but their idea of a crusty French stick or croissant is as far off the mark as France itself. If sliced white or brown bread is all you want, then supermarkets have numerous brands from which to choose. But if you are looking for real, or at least as close to real European bread as possible, then LA has many bakeries across the city.
Try America’s own sourdough bread as this is a real winner as are the variations of fruit and nut loafs. Americans make their own breads best, such as bagels, cupcakes, and muffins. Likewise with European breads, stick to Italian or French bakeries. American bakeries serving fantastic local breads can’t quite pull off those elusive crusty croissants.
