Lessons start September 16, 2009 and run through June 23, 2010.
Holidays
- Christmas: December 23,2009 to January 7, 2010
- Semana Santa/ Easter March 27 to April 14, 2010
- Summer: July 1 to September 7, 2010
- National Holidays
- 1st January: New Year’s Day
- 6th January: Three Kings Day
- 1st May: Labor Day
- 15th August: Ascension of the Virgin
- 12th October: The National Day of Spain
- 1st November: All Saints Day
- 6th December: Constitution Day
- 8th December: Immaculate Conception
- 25th December: Christmas Day
- 1st January: New Year’s Day
Additional local holidays are set by the city councils of the townships in which the schools are located.
Other days without classes for the 2009/2010 school year include December 7, January 8, January 29, March 26 and April 5.
*The 2010/2011 school year dates are not posted until March, but the calendar is basically the same each year so the above can be used as a generally guideline
