There are approximately 300 private commercial, IT, fine arts and language schools throughout Singapore and these are referred to as Private Education Institutions (PEIs).
Each of the schools are entirely responsible for their own admissions procedures and, as such, interested parents need to make direct contact with the schools that they are nterested in in order to understand the admission/enrolment exercises.
To ensure that the PEIs in Singapore safeguard students’ interests and offer appropriate levels of education the MOE has implemented as Council for Private Education (CPE), which handles all issues pertaining to the private education sector in Singapore. All Private Education Institutions need to have an EduTrust certification in order to operate.
