Cable Car
Singapore’s only cable car system, the Singapore Cable Car is operated by Faber Tours and provides transport between Mount Faber on the main island of Singapore and the resort island of Sentosa. The cable car has recently been upgraded and visitors can now enjoy “Jewel” cars that feature glass-bottomed panels.
Sentosa Express
The Sentosa Express, located at VivoCity shopping Mall (Lobby L, Level 3) and provides easy access to Sentosa, HarbourFront Center and St. James Power Station. Islanders ride for free, while guests are required to purchase tickets for $3 from the ticketing booth. The express train runs between 07:00 and 00:00.
Bicycle
While bicycles offer a great mode of transport in the residential areas or for recreational activities, they are generally not advised for commuting due to the extremely hot weather and the hazardous traffic conditions. Bikes are not allowed on expressways. Rickshaws are common around the colonial district and offer a fun way of seeing some of the sites.
Drive U Home
If you have driven to a party or bar and find yourself over the limit, there’s a great service available called Drive U Home. Simply call 9658 4033 30-45 minutes before you require picking up and a chaffeur will drive you and your car home. The service is charged at the following rates:
