There are a range of insurance options available, including comprehensive, which depending on your insurance company and what extras you take out, provides coverage for all contingencies. The amount you pay will be determined by where you live, your age, age of the car, how long you’ve been driving, and other factors. Expect to pay around $600 annually for a mid range vehicle. Whatever insurance you decide on, Third Party Insurance is compulsory for all vehicles in NSW. This is called a Green Slip. You cannot register your car without a Green Slip.
