Visas and permits in Singapore are issued by one of two main government agencies in Singapore: the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority [ICA] and the Ministry of Manpower [MoM]. The ICA issues visas, professional visit passes, student passes, and social visit passes and grants permanent residence status and citizenship. The Ministry of Manpower issues employment permits and passes, dependent passes, long term social visit passes, training employment passes, and other work-associated passes. Each of these is described in full detail in the following sections.
