Visa Type Required: Need to relocate find type of employment pass you need
There are currently three different types of employment pass available in Singapore; P1, P2 and Q1. The eligibility requirements are as follows and all criteria, where detailed, are necessary for fulfilling the requirements of the visa:

Application process | Full details of the application process, together with all applicable forms can be found on the Ministry of Manpower’s Application Website. The application process is very straightforward and it generally takes three weeks to fully process the application. You will need to complete the application in your home country. A $20 administrative fee will be charged for each new application submitted and payment can be made online using Visa/MasterCard or eNets Debit. |
Validity | Employment passes are usually issued for a one or two year period, although this may vary according to your job and earnings. You can check the validity of your employment pass on your card. When the expiry date is approaching the employer will be provided with a renewal form. |
Number of entries | You can exit and re-enter Singapore as many times as you like during the validity of your employment pass. |

Right for dependents | Employment Pass holders can apply for the Dependent’s Pass and/or Long-Term Visit Pass for their family members. The passes offered are as follows:
Dependent’s Pass – P and Q1 pass holders can apply for a dependent’s pass for their spouse and any children under the age of 21 who are unmarried. Unfortunately dependents are not allowed to work as a DP holder but can do so if a potential employer is willing to apply for a Letter of Consent. Any Letter of Consent will expire at the same time as the Dependent Pass; therefore the dependent should renew the LOC whenever their DP is renewed. Dependents under the age of 21 can study with a DP but anyone over the age of 21 will need a study visa. S Pass and Employment Pass (EP) holders need to earn a fixed monthly salary of at least $4,000 to sponsor the stay of their spouses and children in Singapore. Long-Term Visit Pass – P1 pass holders can apply for a long term visit pass for their common law spouse, unmarried daughters over the age of 21, handicapped children and step-children. P1 Pass holders can bring in their parents but are are no longer able to bring in their parents-in-law. P2 Pass holders are no longer be able to bring in their parents or parents-in-law. |
