A student pass is required for all expatriates who wish to study on a full time basis in Singapore. The following people can study in Singapore without a pass:
- Dependent pass holder who is studying in a Government/ Government-Aided/ Independent school/ Foreign System School/ Kindergarten registered with MOE or Childcare centre licensed by MCYS;
- Immigration Exemption Order holder; or
- A visitor who will be attending a short course, the duration of which is less than the outstanding validity of their short term visit pass.
