It is not normal for Australian or foreign workers’ salaries to be remitted outside of Australia, but there are no specific regulations against it. There are several remittance companies who can assist with post paid transfer of salary.
The safest way to send money overseas from Australia is an international transfer via a major bank. These are easy to do and, provided you have all the details of the receiving party including the SWIFT code, there should not be a problem.
Most major banks have some international transfers online, depending on the bank and to which country you wish to remit. For example you may be able to do an online transfer to the UK but might need to go into the branch for a China RMB transfer. The fee for international transfer is approx $30- $35 dollars flat fee.
