Expat child guide for after-school activities in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is full of options for after-school activities for children, no matter what they prefer to do with their time after school. Many schools offer extra-curricular activities for students, in the form of sports, arts, music and other forms of entertainment that appeal to children of various ages, but the options don’t stop here. There are also numerous facilities that operate external to schools, many of which are specifically intended to provide children of varying ages with education, entertainment and a safe and social atmosphere when they are outside of their daily learning environment. In the nice weather (i.e. when it is not raining or freezing) you will notice that children are always in the various parks, especially Vondel Park and Westerpark, and playgrounds around the city.
