School Year Calendar Guide
All Thai public schools follow the same school year calender, but there can be some differences from school to school.
There are two general school holidays in a year:
October: One month break, starting at the first and ending the last day of the month
March/April: Two month break, starting at the first day of March and ending in late April
Private Schools follow their own school calender and often follow a Western timetable with a long summer holiday (5 Weeks) in July to August and then a two week holiday for both Christmas and Easter. Contact your school for exact dates.
All Thai schools, private and public, also close for Thai national holidays. See ‘Bank Holidays’ section for more information.
