Car insurance is required in Argentina, and the prices depend on the type and age of the car, age, sex and martial status of the driver, as well as the driver’s record. Note well that you will need to have a valid Argentine driver’s license, and therefore Argentine residency, in order for most companies to consider insuring you. When choosing an insurance company or agent, be sure to check that they are registered with the Superintendencia de Seguros de la Nación.
