You are Going to Study
If you wish to move to Australia to study, there are a wide range of tightly regulated student visas depending on your country of origin and the type of study you wish to undertake. Most visas will cover the duration of study (generally 2 to 4 years) and allow you to also work with some restrictions (generally no more than 20 hours per week).
To be eligible for any student visa you must prove your ability to pay for return airfare to Australia, all tuition fees and living costs, and private health insurance. You may also be asked to provide sufficient evidence of your English proficiency and academic qualifications, as well as your immigration history.
All student visas carry academic requirements, so if you are granted one be sure to actually attend your classes, and do well in them.
