For all other regular household services, contact your building management (Guanli). They have in-house repairmen who are available seven days a week. If you live in a house, and therefore do not have building management, contact your landlord for details of servicemen who can help with the repairs. Whoever they send is unlikely to be able to speak English so if you are not confident that you can explain the problem using hand gestures, have a native Chinese speaker on standby either on the phone or in person. It is unusual to hear of people hiring external plumbers, electricians etc to perform household repairs. Your landlord or building management will know of individual contractors or local firms who should be able to tackle pretty much any renovation or repair.
