Transport Options in Sydney
There are many ways to get around Sydney, including walking. Sydney has a great public transport system. It’s safe, frequent, and inexpensive. And there are many options. There are buses, taxis, ferries, and trains. Generally, services start early and finish late and reach most parts of Sydney.
You can also travel privately; by bicycle, drive a car, or ride a motorbike or scooter. Many people who work in the city will commute by public transport, walking or cycling and use their car, if they have one, only for non-work related travel. It’s possible to drive to work every day, too, although it means contending with peak hour traffic and possibly paying a lot for parking if it’s not provided by your work. There are many options for traveling in and out of Sydney, too. Sydney has an international and domestic airport. There are also country trains and bus coaches.
