Explore one of the many exotic parks that provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the inner city. Stroll the Central Market and experience the sights and sounds of authentic Malaysia. Visit the temples and mosques and learn about the religion and culture. And, of course, don’t forget the street food carts waiting to offer you their delicacies.

Cultural Activities for your Day
- The National Visual Arts Gallery. Set in an idyllic location, here you can see over 2500 pieces of local and international art by contemporary artists. And, it’s free entry.
- Thean Hou Temple is one of the oldest and largest temples in Southeast Asia.
- The Royal Selangor Pewter Visitor Center where you can see one of Malaysia’s largest pewter manufacturers.
- The National Textile Museum is a heritage building built in the Mughal style. This museum contains a glorious collection of textiles and apparel which give you a glimpse into the history of Malaysia.
- Dataran Merdeka which translates to Independence Square is a popular recreational park in Kuala Lumpur. Here you can see the world’s tallest flag flying proudly.
Performing Arts
- The KL Performing Arts Center has regular live shows in opera, dance, music, theater, and stand-up comedy.
- The Istana Budaya is also known as the Palace of Culture. It is Malaysia’s main venue for operettas, musical theater, classical concerts, and international and local operas.
Sports
If you enjoy sports, you’ll soon realize that Kuala Lumpur has no shortage of sporting venues, including world-class golf courses, swimming centers, equestrian parks, and several stadiums. Let’s not forget that Kuala Lumpur has hosted the Commonwealth Games, and football World Cup qualifiers and is one of the stops on the Formula One Grand Prix Calendar.
Nightlife
Kuala Lumpur has a vibrant and colorful nightlife scene. From pubs and bars to nightclubs and live music venues. You’ll soon find your favorite venues to let your hair down and groove. Here are just a few suggestions.

- The Luna Bar is a 1920’s themed rooftop bar with a swimming pool and stunning views of the city.

- Rootz, The Dance Club is located in the touristy Bukit Bintang, this dance club is buzzing to the latest beat.
It will take you quite a while to explore all of Kuala Lumpur’s hottest night spots but I can assure you, that you’ll enjoy the ride.
